WHAT IS ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is a self-care essential for both your mind and body. The insertion of acupuncture needles helps to increase blood flow and microcirculation. Each treatment will be tailored to your needs, including massage therapy, gua sha, cupping or lifestyle-changing recommendation.

Celluma light therapy can be added to optimize the healing process.

WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is an amazing, minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment. The process consists of inserting very fine, short sterilized needles into the skin. It creates a small prick, which promotes new skin cell growth. As a result, your skin produces more collagen and becomes more luminous and firm. With each treatment there will be an enhancement of the skin complexion. It is recommended to have three to six treatments to achieve your desired results. Treatments are once every 4 weeks.

SERVICES WITH MELINDA

  • Initial Treatment

    80 minutes

    Treatment will begin with a thorough health intake consultation. Melinda will then insert the needles and you will rest during this time.

  • Follow up

    60 minutes

    Follow up treatments are for clients who have been previously treated by Melinda. She will evaluate your progress, as well as address any new concerns that you may have.

  • Cosmetic Acupuncture

    $250

    60 minutes

    Treatment begins with a skin consultation. Small and thin facial needles will be inserted at the area of concern. It expedites the healing process of inflammatory or wounded skin by increasing the blood flow and production of collagen. Cosmetic acupuncture also has overall health benefits. The treatment will end with facial cupping or gua sha with facial massage.

  • Microneedling

    $375

    60 minutes

    Treatment begins with a skin consultation. The depth of the needles used will be at your comfort level. A Chinese herbal formula serum will be customized to your skin’s needs. The treatment ends with a brightening mask and a facial massage using soothing chilled Jade rollers.

  • Celluma Light Therapy Add On

    $25

    Based on extensive research, low-level-light therapy devices have been cleared by the FDA, and shown to manage acne, fine lines and wrinkles, local blood for and circulation, minor muscle and joint aches/pain, symptoms associated with arthritis, chronic neck and shoulder pain of a musculoskeletal origin.

MEET MELINDA

Melinda is a licensed Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, and Aesthetician. She received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Acupuncture at the New England School of Acupuncture at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She also graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Health Science.

Melinda’s inspiration to become an acupuncturist came after personally benefiting from treatments. She practices Chinese style acupuncture and herbal medicine. Prior to her work as a clinician, Melinda worked for over ten years at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Boston as a massage therapist and aesthetician. Those years of experience gave her the passion she now has for both orthopedic and cosmetic acupuncture. She has earned NCCAOM continuing education certifications in fertility support for women and men, and in Traditional Chinese Medicine gynecology. Melinda will continue to further her education to provide great care for her patients.
